Remember those tadpoles?

They are not really tadpoles of course, but basil seeds suspended in a flavoured drink.

I didn't mind the texture of the seeds, but the taste of the drink was a bit too highly perfumed. An unusual taste. I'm glad I tried it, but I guess I can live without it.

Earth tones

Earth tones are popular, so I concentrated on that colour palette for this set.

Of course, because its me, there is still a touch of silver glass in there too.

What do tadpoles taste like?

When I saw this drink, it really did look like a bottle full of tadpoles. The bottle is still sitting on the counter, so I can't tell you what these particular tadpoles taste of............................yet.

Beads on a table

I was at Broadfield House Glass Museum yesterday.

I had a table with my beads on show.

And I did two demonstrations. Of course I used silver glass. I think people were impressed with the magic of this glass.

Batty about hats

I have been busy making hats for charity. Here is what I have so far. There are more on the way.

  1. A big thank you to my lovely model.

If you are wondering why these hats are so small, they are for the Innocent Smoothie bottles. Later this year. the bottles will be sold with the hats on, and the company will donate 25p for each one sold. Helping to keep older people warm this winter.

Hot glass

Hubby got to take a hot glass class. He was chuffed with the pieces he made. Here are two of them..

The bauble has a cool dragon scale pattern on it.

And the small yellow vase was made as a house warming present for our daughter.

Rebooting

Well hello.
I know its been a long time. (Our predecessors were right when they suggested it takes a year to mourn a loss)..

So I am rebooting this blog. Here goes.
