In spite of the tube strike, we managed to get to the Globe theatre last night, to see the first Globe production by a female playwright called "Bedlam". Great costumes, and as ever, clever use of the stage. Lots of laughter, tongue in cheek quips, and a happy ending.
I am not quite sure of the time setting, probably 18th century, and it was a bawdy, rollicking tale set in a madhouse. I felt right at home!
